Auditing old records before relying on them

An entry that was accurate last year may be misleading today. Periodic audits keep records honest.

Set a staleness threshold

Decide how old an entry can be before it must be rechecked, for example thirty days for addresses.

Mark stale entries visibly

Flag old entries so they are not mistaken for current information.

Recheck and log

When you recheck, add a new entry rather than editing the old one.

Retire obsolete entries

Move entries for retired Omega Market addresses to an archive section with a note explaining why.
